Visit the Koala Hospital

Visit the Koala Hospital
The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital is open every day (except December 25) from 8:30am to 4:00pm and is welcoming visitors wanting to see and learn more about koalas. Entry is free and there is no need to book. A volunteer guide is usually available to enhance your visitor experience.

The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital is a self-guided outdoor experience. To ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff we follow the orders issued by NSW Health. Therefore we ask that:

If you have been asked to self-isolate, please stay away until you are healthy - do not visit. If you have cold or flu symptoms, please stay away - do not visit.

Please note that visits to the Koala Hospital may be temporarily halted for safety reasons such as in the event of severe adverse weather conditions. This is an outdoor venue. For safety reasons, footwear is required for entry.
